Digital Setup for Business Premises: Profile, Site, Signage and Rhythm
A licence makes premises exist legally. It does not make them exist for customers: if your name returns nothing in search and you are absent from the map, that customer never even passes your door. This guide builds the digital setup in four floors.
The licensing process sits in the licence guide; here we work the first thirty days after it. The whole process is in the complete guide.
Floor 1: Existing on the Map
The first and highest-return step: a Google Business Profile. It is free, takes half an afternoon, and with address, phone and hours it makes the premises visible in local search.
For premises with a physical address, this floor works your rent a second time: the same address opens to both foot traffic and search traffic. Setup steps are in the profile guide. If you run the business from abroad, set it up in Turkish — your customers search in Turkish.
Write the sign and the profile the same way
A critical detail: the name on the sign, the title on the licence and the name on the profile must match. Inconsistency creates both customer hesitation and lost strength in search.
Floor 2: Domain and Site
The second floor is ownership: a domain is a small yearly line, while profiles and social accounts are rented land. Even premises that will not build a site today should buy the domain.
Site size grows with need: one page suffices for most premises — what you do, for whom, contact, map, references. For premises selling to corporate clients or issuing proposals it is close to mandatory (size comparison).
Floor 3: Contact and Ordering Channel
The third floor is how customers reach you. The phone still leads, but messaging apps have effectively become an ordering and booking channel: send a photo, get confirmation, collect.
Two things get built here: a dedicated business number and a response-time standard. An unanswered message loses as many customers as a closed shutter — and does it invisibly.
Floor 4: Review Routine and Rhythm
The fourth floor is what makes the first three work: routine. Twenty minutes a week is enough — one photo, one post, replies to accumulated reviews, and an hours-and-phone check.
Reviews move local ranking more than anything else. Ask satisfied customers without hesitation and answer each briefly and by name. Purchased reviews are grounds for suspension — short-term shine, long-term deletion.
Three Details Specific to Premises
First, opening hours: enter holiday hours in advance; the “it said open, it was closed” experience chills even loyal customers. Second, photos: a facade photo lets customers recognise you from the street — for workshops and side-street premises that is worth more than directions.
Third, the service area: premises delivering on site — plumbers, movers, technical services — can hide the address and define a region. The profile still ranks at full strength.
Measurement: Three Numbers at Month End
Whether the digital setup works is measurable: the profile panel’s search count, views and calls. Note those three at month end.
If they do not grow, the problem usually sits in three places: incomplete profile information, the wrong category, or a broken rhythm. All three are fixable, and fixing them is free.
Who Builds It? Three Roads
You can build it yourself: the profile and a one-page site are a weekend’s work. Ready platforms are fast but inflexible. The third road is handing it over: a professional service building the profile, site, sign-profile consistency and content rhythm in one hand.
We work at exactly this scope; write through the contact page. And for those who prefer to take over a digital asset with live traffic, our projects for sale line is a separate option.
Field Note
A plumber obtained his licence and worked for years on the sign alone; work came by referral. We set up the profile, and by month three more than half his calls came from the map. He had said “I’m on a side street, nobody finds me” — but nobody walks streets looking for a plumber. The address did not change; the visibility did.
Quick Summary
Four floors in order: map profile, domain and site, contact and ordering channel, review routine and weekly rhythm. Write the sign, the licence title and the profile name identically. Note three numbers at month end. A licence grants legal existence; a profile grants existence for customers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Sık Sorulan Sorular
It is free; registration, verification, photos and review management cost nothing. Ads are a separate, optional layer.
Yes; define a service area and the address is hidden. On-site service businesses rank this way.
At neighbourhood scale it is enough for most premises; for those selling to corporate clients a site becomes practically necessary.
Next step: Set up your profile this week and buy your domain; for a second location and the growth road, continue with the growth guide.
