The lightweight version of LaMDA aims to reach more users by requiring less computing power. This will allow us to get more feedback so that Bard’s responses will set a high bar for quality, safety and robustness in real world information. Combining internal and external feedback will help us learn and improve the quality and speed of Bard. Our excitement in this testing phase is aimed at helping Bard bring out his best.
