Website investment return: TRY 36,000 cost, yearly upkeep and a possible return table
Website investment return comes down to three numbers: setup cost, yearly upkeep and the gross profit the site adds each month. In the Own a Digital Asset campaign, setup is TRY 36,000 + VAT, or TRY 43,200 with 20 percent VAT, paid upfront at a fixed price. Hosting is included in year one, and upkeep starts in year two. The return comes from your own sales, from rent or from a later sale.
Return is not promised, it is calculated. The campaign gives no earnings guarantee; the potential is shown with data. The six steps below build a table you fill in with your own figures. Every example number is hypothetical and labelled as such.
Which formula gives a website investment return?
Yearly return is the gross profit the site adds in a year minus that year’s cost. In year one the cost is setup, after that it is upkeep. The break-even month is the setup fee divided by the monthly contribution. Three numbers are enough to build the table.
- Setup cost: TRY 36,000 excluding VAT.
- Monthly contribution: monthly enquiries × job rate × gross profit per job.
- Yearly upkeep: domain renewal, hosting and optional extra content.
Gross profit, not turnover
Not every lira of sales is yours. Only the gross profit left after materials, labour and commission goes into the sum. Count turnover and you only get rich on paper.
Step 1: What does setup cost with VAT?
The START package is TRY 36,000 + VAT. VAT at 20 percent adds TRY 7,200, so the upfront payment is TRY 43,200. Check the current VAT rate on the invoice. The fee is one-off and covers the site, 108 pieces of content and first-year hosting. Spread over 3 years, it equals TRY 1,000 a month excluding VAT.
| Item | Excluding VAT | Including VAT (20%) |
|---|---|---|
| START package (upfront, one-off) | TRY 36,000 | TRY 43,200 |
| Monthly equivalent over 12 months | TRY 3,000 | TRY 3,600 |
| Monthly equivalent over 36 months | TRY 1,000 | TRY 1,200 |

Step 2: What goes into yearly upkeep from year two?
Year two brings three items: domain renewal, hosting and, if you want, extra content. The first two are required, the third is a growth choice. Prices vary by provider, so put your own quote in the table. A sum that forgets upkeep finds a hole in the till at the start of year two.
| Upkeep item | Year 1 | From year 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Domain | Included | Yearly renewal, provider’s price |
| Hosting | Included | Yearly fee, provider’s price |
| Extra content | 108 pieces included | Optional, +180 content add-on |
Do not miss the domain renewal
An unrenewed domain eventually reopens for registration, and someone else can take it. Turn on auto-renew and put the expiry date in your calendar.
Step 3: How do you measure the monthly contribution?
Monthly contribution is enquiries multiplied by the job rate and gross profit per job. You read enquiries from the form, call and WhatsApp clicks marked as key events in GA4. Google defines a key event as an event that measures an action particularly important to your business’s success. With no measurement, no contribution goes in the table.
- Mark form submissions, phone clicks and WhatsApp clicks as key events in GA4.
- Collect at least 3 months of data before writing a rate; one month misleads.
- Log every enquiry in a notebook or sheet and count how many become jobs.
Step 4: How do you find the break-even month?
Divide the setup fee excluding VAT by the monthly contribution: TRY 36,000 ÷ monthly contribution = break-even month. At TRY 3,000 a month you break even in 12 months, at TRY 1,500 in 24. The three scenarios below are hypothetical, and your figures may differ. Count the weak months of the measurement period too.
| Scenario (hypothetical) | Monthly contribution | Break-even | Net at end of year 1 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slow | TRY 1,500 | Month 24 | -TRY 18,000 |
| Medium | TRY 3,000 | Month 12 | TRY 0 |
| Fast | TRY 6,000 | Month 6 | +TRY 36,000 |
Most common mistake: Working out break-even on setup alone and forgetting year-two upkeep. From year two, divide yearly upkeep by 12 and subtract it from the monthly contribution; what is left is your real contribution.
Fill the scenario with your own numbers
Multiply your monthly enquiries, rate and profit per job, then divide 36,000 by the result. Three operations, one pen, one sheet of paper.

Step 5: How do rent and sale value enter the table?
BU BÖLÜMÜN ÖZETİ
- The rent row
- The sale value row
- The wider view of digital returns
Return does not come only from your own sales. Because the asset is yours, renting it out or selling it later is possible. Add these two channels as separate rows, but only once there is a real offer or contract. An imagined sale price is not money in the till.
The rent row
Rental income is the monthly fee signed with a tenant. With no contract, the row stays empty. If there is one, add the rent to the monthly contribution and redo the break-even month.
The sale value row
Sale value is worked out from the site’s traffic and income. We collect market multiples in website and domain market in numbers. This is not investment advice; decide based on your own situation.

Step 6: Which 6 questions close the table before you pay?
Payment is upfront, so close the table before paying. The six questions below keep the cost, upkeep and return rows from staying blank. Note the answers during the call. To compare the same TRY 36,000 with other options, read what TRY 36,000 can build.
- What monthly enquiry potential does the chosen sector show?
- What is the total with VAT, and where do I mention my coupon?
- How much will year-two domain and hosting renewal cost?
- Which key events are set up in GA4?
- Whose name is the domain registered in?
- Which figures appear on the Asset Value Card?
Places and deadline
The campaign has 12 project places, and the last day is 1 November 2026. The domain is registered in your name, and the asset belongs to you.

Quick Summary
- Setup is TRY 36,000 + VAT, TRY 43,200 with 20 percent VAT, upfront and fixed.
- Year-one hosting is included; domain and hosting upkeep start in year two.
- Monthly contribution = enquiries × job rate × gross profit per job.
- Break-even month = TRY 36,000 ÷ monthly contribution.
- Rent and sale rows go in only with a real offer or contract.
- No earnings guarantee; the potential is shown with data.
Short Glossary
Break-even month: The break-even month is a threshold used to find when monthly contribution pays back a cost.
Key event: A key event is a GA4 marker used to count actions valuable to a business, such as forms and calls.
Gross profit: Gross profit is an accounting term used for what is left from sales after direct costs.
Next Step
An opportunity analysis fills the blank rows of your table with sector data. Apply to the Own a Digital Asset campaign and we look at the numbers together.
Sık Sorulan Sorular
If you are VAT-registered, the VAT you pay may be deductible under general rules. So the return sum uses the figure excluding VAT. Plan your cash on TRY 43,200, and ask your accountant about your own case.
Sector and opportunity analysis, a domain in your name with 1 year of hosting, a project file, a site with 6 main and 12 sub pages, and 108 pieces of content in 6 keyword groups. Plus GA4, Search Console, structured data, a Google Business Profile for local projects, the Asset Value Card and a handover video.
For the 10 percent coupon, simply mention the code when you apply or during the call. Still build the table on TRY 36,000 and log the discount as a bonus.
The 108 pieces set up the first build-up. In year two, data shows which keyword group brings money. You decide on more content from that data, not from a hunch.
From your own log. If 5 of 20 monthly enquiries become jobs, your rate is 25 percent. Do not copy another business’s rate; use your own counter.
The contribution is small in the first months, because content is only going live. Keep that stretch apart as a “measurement period” and update the rate as data comes in.
Read why domain, site and content gain value like property in owning a digital asset. To fill your table with sector data, go to the Own a Digital Asset campaign page.
No. The Own a Digital Asset campaign gives no earnings guarantee. The sector’s potential is shown with data, and the decision is yours.
Hosting is included in year one. From year two you pay domain renewal and hosting; extra content is optional.
The setup fee excluding VAT, TRY 36,000, is divided by the site’s monthly contribution. At TRY 3,000 a month, break-even comes in month 12; this is an example.
