💡 Kısaca: Brand reputation tracking now happens in assistant answers, not just on review sites.

Brand reputation tracking now happens in assistant answers, not just on review sites. Because your customer asks an assistant before asking you — and if you don’t know what’s said there, you’re flying blind. 📋

Short answer: tracking means asking the same questions regularly. Pick the 10 questions your customers ask, put them to assistants monthly, record the answers: am I mentioned, is the information right, which competitor appears?

Below: how to choose the questions, the record table, what to watch, and how to build the rhythm. No software required. 🔬

WHICH

Which questions should I track?

The quality of brand reputation tracking is the quality of the question list.

Should I track questions without my brand name?

Especially those. Being mentioned on “how is X company” is expected; the real gain is being recommended on a question where your name doesn’t appear. That’s the true measure of visibility.

WHAT

What should the record table look like?

A table that isn’t kept simple gets abandoned in month two.

Three columns suffice

For each question: am I mentioned (yes/no), is the information right (right/incomplete/wrong), who else appears (competitor names). Plus date and platform. Those three columns give you a real curve after three months. 📊

WHAT

What should I watch?

Being mentioned isn’t enough on its own; how you’re described matters too.

What do I record if I’m never mentioned?

Who the answer is made of. Not being mentioned is data too; what those mentioned have in common gives you your roadmap.

HOW

How is the rhythm built?

Without regularity, tracking is an anecdote rather than a measurement.

The monthly twenty-minute routine

In the same week each month, ask the same ten questions to the same two assistants. Record answers, fill the three columns, compare with last month. Add one note: which content did we publish this month? Two or three months on, you start seeing which content worked — the feedback loop of the whole exercise. 🔁

HOW

How do I read the table?

From numbers to decisions.

📝 Field Notes

Most clients who start tracking aren’t mentioned in month one. In month two they begin appearing on brand-name questions. The real excitement comes in month three or four: they enter the suggestions on a question that never mentions their name. That’s the day the answer pages pay off. 📈

📖 Quick Glossary

Mention: your brand appearing inside an answer. Brand question: a query containing your name. Neutral question: an advice query without your name. Feedback loop: measuring the effect of published content.

⚡ Quick Summary

Ten questions, two assistants, once a month. 📋 Three columns: mentioned, correct, who else. Record screenshots and dates. The real gain is being mentioned where your name never appears.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sık Sorulan Sorular

How is the list built?

From three sources: what you’re asked most on the phone, the real questions visible in your search console, and pre-purchase decision questions (“which is better”, “who should I hire”). Add questions containing your brand name too: “is X company reliable“. 🎯

How many questions are enough?

Ten. Fewer leaves the table weak; more makes regular tracking hard and it gets abandoned. Ten questions is twenty minutes a month — and sustainable is what matters. ⏱️

How should answers be recorded?

Screenshot and date. Assistant answers vary; without a record the “it was different last month” argument can’t be settled. The importance of records also appears in the tools article. 📸

Is the information correct?

Address, phone, service scope, price range, coverage area. Old information can be more damaging than no mention — the customer arrives with wrong expectations or doesn’t arrive at all. The fix sits in the wrong-information article. ⚠️

Which competitors keep appearing?

This is your list’s most instructive column. Look at which page carries the recurring competitor there — read it and see your gap. Competitive analysis has never been this cheap. 🔍

Which changes are good signals?

In order: wrong information decreasing, mentions stabilising on brand-name questions, then appearing on questions without your name. When the third arrives, the work is running. Its equivalent in the till sits in the return article; all questions in the 18-questions hub. 📈

I get different answers to the same question; is tracking meaningful?

It is, because you’re measuring a trend rather than one answer. Variability is normal; three months of never being mentioned is as clear as three months of always being mentioned. Look at the repeating pattern, not a single result.

Can I hand tracking to my agency?

You can, but you must see the records; the measurement is your data. The healthiest arrangement is the agency running regular tracking while you ask one or two questions yourself each month. That’s the easiest way to verify a report.

What should I do when I see a bad answer?

Look for the source rather than panicking: where might this information come from? Usually an old page, an un-updated record or an unanswered complaint turns up. Fix the source and the answer corrects itself over time.
