💡 Kısaca: Build or buy a website: the short answer is to build if you have time and want to pick the sector yourself, and to buy if you want to start with an asset that already draws demand today.

Build or buy a website: the short answer is to build if you have time and want to pick the sector yourself, and to buy if you want to start with an asset that already draws demand today. At Adapte, the two paths have two separate prices. The START package of the Own a Digital Asset campaign is a from-scratch setup for TRY 36,000 + VAT. On ASSETOR, installed and working assets change hands for TRY 60,000, 90,000 and 180,000.

The gap is time and certainty, not only money. With a setup, the domain, the site and 108 articles become yours, but demand does not exist yet. With a takeover, demand exists, but you should never buy a structure someone else built without inspecting it. Which path wins depends on how you answer the six criteria below.

WHICH

Which 6 criteria do we compare?

BU BÖLÜMÜN ÖZETİ

  • Cost and time
  • Freedom of choice and past data
  • Inspection load and uncertainty

The comparison runs on six criteria: upfront cost, time to first demand, freedom of choice, past data, inspection load and earnings uncertainty. Price alone misleads: whoever also counts time reads the same table differently. We open the criteria first, then build the table.

Cost and time

Cost is the money that leaves your pocket on day one. Time is the stretch between opening the shutters and the first customer enquiry. It is uncertain in a setup; in a takeover, past data gives a hint, not a promise.

The comparison runs on six criteria: upfront cost, time to first demand, freedom of choice, past data, inspection load and earnings uncertainty.

Freedom of choice and past data

When you build, you choose the sector, the domain name and the page structure. When you buy, these come ready, and in return you see the past traffic and demand records.

Inspection load and uncertainty

A setup has no past to inspect, so the uncertainty is about the future. A takeover puts the job of inspecting the past on the buyer. Neither path comes with an earnings guarantee. ASSETOR does not promise earnings either.

WHAT

What do you get with the TRY 36,000 setup?

The START package is a fixed-price, turnkey setup for TRY 36,000 + VAT. With 20 percent VAT, payment comes to TRY 43,200; check the current rate on the invoice. The package opens with a sector and opportunity analysis and ends with a digital asset that belongs to you. The campaign has 12 project slots, a deadline of 1 November 2026 and a 10 percent coupon you mention when you apply.

What the package includes

Sector and opportunity analysis, domain and 1 year of hosting, a project file and roadmap. A site with 6 main and 12 sub pages, plus 108 AI SEO-ready articles across 6 keyword groups. GA4, Search Console, structured data and an Asset Value Card. The domain is registered in your name.

The one thing it does not include

Ready demand. The site is newborn, and nobody can say for sure when traffic will come or how much. We cover the first months of laying bricks from zero in why building from scratch loses year one.

WHAT

What do you get with a TRY 60,000, 90,000 or 180,000 takeover?

On ASSETOR you take over a digital asset that is installed, working and already collecting demand. There are three tiers: Silver, 6 assets at TRY 60,000; Gold, 2 assets at TRY 90,000; Platinum, 6 assets at TRY 180,000. The assets are e-commerce sites, production businesses and service platforms. The process has three steps: inspect, choose, take over.

Put both prices on the same base

Confirm the VAT and invoicing status of ASSETOR prices in writing during the transfer talk. Otherwise you compare apples to oranges and the gap looks bigger or smaller than it is.

WHAT

What does the table say side by side?

The table shows the setup winning on cost and the takeover winning on time. Freedom of choice is stronger in the setup, past data is stronger in the takeover. Earnings uncertainty exists on both. The last row says in one line who each path suits.

Criterion Build (START) Buy (ASSETOR)
Upfront cost TRY 36,000 + VAT (TRY 43,200 at 20%) TRY 60,000 / 90,000 / 180,000, VAT status to confirm
First demand Forms after setup, timing uncertain The asset already collects demand
Freedom of choice Sector, name and structure are yours Sector and structure come ready
Past data None, starts from zero Search Console and analytics history to inspect
Inspection load Low High, required before transfer
Earnings No guarantee No guarantee
Who it suits Wants to pick the sector, has cash to wait Does not want to wait, wants to grow a ready business
The table shows the setup winning on cost and the takeover winning on time.
HOW

How do you work out what the gap actually pays for?

Read the gap by dividing it by the past demand of the asset you are taking over. The list gap between the Silver tier and the setup is TRY 24,000. Divide it by the organic clicks the site earned in the last 12 months, and you see what ready demand costs you per click. It is not an earnings calculation; it makes the premium visible.

  1. Write down the gap. 60,000 − 36,000 = TRY 24,000, both figures on the same VAT base.
  2. Get the clicks. Read the last 12 months of organic clicks in Search Console together, on the seller’s screen.
  3. Divide. Say a hypothetical site has 4,800 clicks: 24,000 ÷ 4,800 = a TRY 5 premium per click.

TRY 24,000 gap, 4,800 clicks, TRY 5 premium.

WHICH

Which mistake wastes the gap after the takeover?

The costliest mistake is changing the URLs of the site you took over in the first week. According to Google Search Central, a site move with URL changes can cause temporary ranking fluctuation. Moving most pages of a medium-sized site can take a few weeks. The value you bought lives in the demand those URLs carry; first leave them alone, then measure, change last.

Leave the URLs alone for a month

Hold off on design or domain changes in the first month. First see which page brings demand.

Take over the accounts on the same day

The domain, hosting, Search Console and analytics accounts should all move to your name on the same day. We walk through the whole transfer in buying a ready-made online business. To see the asset cards, visit the ASSETOR digital assets for sale page.

Sık Sorulan Sorular

What does the tier change?

The price changes with the tier, but you need to read on the asset card what the tier actually measures. We break down the pricing logic of all three tiers in ready-made website prices.

How do you read the table?

Write your situation into each row and count the “yes” answers per column. If one column leads in four of the seven rows, your direction is clear.

Which one wins?

Our reading: for someone with the cash and patience to wait for demand, the setup wins, because a lower cost builds the whole asset on your own choices. For someone whose till needs to turn and who cannot afford to wait, the takeover wins, because the gap is paid straight for time. This is not investment advice; decide according to your own situation.

What do you compare the result with?

With the cost of buying the same click through ads. You can see the cost per click for your sector in the keyword planner in your ad account. Below that cost, the gap may feel reasonable; above it, look for room to negotiate.

Where does the calculation stop?

Past clicks are not a promise of future clicks. Seasons and search engine changes move the number. Make the premium one line of your inspection, not the decision. To read the sales and profit side, see the is my store profitable guide.

What does the price depend on?

On ASSETOR the price depends on the asset’s tier: Silver TRY 60,000, Gold TRY 90,000, Platinum TRY 180,000. Confirm VAT and invoicing in writing during the talk.

Is there a guarantee?

No. Neither the setup nor the takeover comes with an earnings guarantee. In a takeover you inspect past data, but past data is not a promise of future demand.

If I choose the setup, whose name is the domain in?

In the START package the domain is registered in your name and 1 year of hosting is included. In a takeover, the domain is transferred to you during the handover.
