ShipEntegra Ships 1 kg Parcels to the US in 2–5 Days, So How Do Small Sellers Start?
ShipEntegra, a Turkish shipping platform for online sellers, is offering a new service called Smart Express for small parcels heading to the United States (Perakende Türkiye, 3 October 2026). The service aims to deliver shipments of up to 1 kg in 2-5 business days, splits weight into four tiers, includes insurance up to $100 and offers free returns for eligible parcels inside the US. During the launch period, no DDP processing fee is charged. Karar, a Turkish daily, ran it first on 18 September 2026.
Here is what it means for you. The US has not applied its low-value parcel duty exemption since 29 August 2025, and since 9 July 2026 Etsy has required DDP shipping for Purchase Protection on orders from non-US sellers to US buyers. So in autumn 2026, a small seller in Türkiye shipping single parcels to the US has to solve speed, duty and returns at the same table. Smart Express is one option that bundles all three.
What does ShipEntegra’s Smart Express change for parcels shipped to the US?
Smart Express brings three things together: a 2-5 business day delivery target for parcels up to 1 kg, insurance up to $100, and free returns for eligible parcels inside the US. On top of that, there is no DDP processing fee during the launch period.

Which steps should a small seller follow to start exporting small parcels to the US?
Four steps: pick the right products, prepare the customs data, set up your sales channel and price for DDP. Where a cost is not public, get your own quote instead of guessing.
How do the US exemption decision and Etsy’s DDP rule affect your price tag?
Directly. US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced in bulletin CSMS #66065494 that the $800 de minimis exemption is suspended for goods from all countries from 29 August 2025. Every shipment’s duty now sits either inside your price or on the buyer’s doorstep.

Which businesses gain from DDP services like Smart Express, and which ones struggle?
BU BÖLÜMÜN ÖZETİ
- Winners: Etsy shops selling handmade and light goods
- Under pressure: sellers of low-priced single items
- Indirect: manufacturers that want to grow e-exports
Small brands whose orders stay under 1 kg and who sell to the US regularly gain the most. Sellers of heavy, bulky or very cheap single items have a harder time. Growing manufacturers feel it indirectly.
Winners: Etsy shops selling handmade and light goods
Shops selling jewellery, ceramic accessories or handmade textiles keep Etsy’s buyer protection when they solve DDP through a ready-made service.
Under pressure: sellers of low-priced single items
For a seller shipping a few-dollar item one at a time, fixed duty and shipping costs come close to the product price. The answer for this seller is not more parcels but bigger baskets: bundles, a minimum order value and multi-pack offers.
Indirect: manufacturers that want to grow e-exports
According to Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade, e-exports brought in $5.1 billion in 2025, and 11,500 people made e-exports above $10,000. As volume grows, so do stock and financing needs. Our piece on Doğuş Çay’s IFC financing shows how a firm prepares for foreign lenders.
What should you prepare on the digital side for US sales on Etsy and your own site?
Three things: clear delivery and return terms on the product page, a duty-inclusive price at checkout, and product titles written in the English words US buyers actually search. According to Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade, 634,000 businesses sold online in 2025, and 75 percent of them were sole proprietorships. Page details make the difference.
What should a small e-exporter do this week to start selling to the US?
Do five things this week. Sort SKUs into tiers, get written quotes from at least two services, verify tariff codes, recalculate prices for DDP and update your product pages.

The service works with four tiers: 0-250 g, 250-500 g, 500-750 g and 750 g-1 kg. The price per tier is not in the news report, so you need to request your own quote. The tier your packed product lands in decides your shipping cost.
ShipEntegra CEO Ali Ceylan calls the service “the product of months of optimisation work”. According to Karar, the company runs more than 10 operation centres and offers more than 12 service options. The report does not say which carrier is used or which parts of the US are covered.
The announcement leaves out three things: when the launch period ends, the terms for parcels over 1 kg and the price of each tier. Ask all three in writing when you request a quote.
Sort the SKUs in your catalogue into the four tiers by packed weight. Light, non-fragile goods such as jewellery, handmade accessories, cosmetics and small textiles fit this model most easily. Heavy and bulky products tend to sit on the shelf, because shipping eats the margin.
Each product needs a clear description, a true value and the correct tariff code. In Türkiye this is the GTİP code, the Turkish version of the international HS code. With the US exemption suspended, every parcel is assessed for duty, and a vague description can leave a parcel waiting. Check the codes with your carrier or your customs broker before the first shipment.
If you sell to US buyers on Etsy, DDP shipping has been required for Purchase Protection since 9 July 2026. That does not mean DDP is mandatory on Etsy in every case; it is tied to the protection condition. On your own site, DDP is your choice. Buyers who face a charge at the door abandon more orders.
Put five things in the price tag: product cost, shipping tier, US duty, any processing fee and a returns allowance. If your average order value is low, fixed costs swallow the margin. Turning a single-item order into a set or a two-pack is often the shortest fix.
With DDP, you pay the duties and fees, and the buyer receives the parcel without paying anything extra. Under the other model, DDU, the buyer gets a bill at the door and may refuse the delivery. A refused parcel means you lose both the shipping and the product, and no money comes in.
The mistake we see most often is keeping the old price list and leaving duty out on the assumption that the buyer will pay it. The buyer sees a low price at checkout, gets an extra charge at the door and leaves a bad review. The second mistake is calculating the tier from the product weight alone. A parcel that moves up a tier once packaging is added quietly erodes your margin.
Yes. The EU is also removing its exemption for low-value parcels and charging duty per item category. We cover the dates in our article on the EU’s €3 duty on parcels under €150. Price each market separately.
If your carrier commits to a range such as 2-5 business days, show exactly that range. Do not publish a time nobody has committed to. When buyers cannot find the answer to “when will it arrive”, they walk away.
A DDP price looks higher at first glance, but nothing new appears at checkout. Use the same duty-inclusive price in your ads and product feed.
Ask for the price per tier, the end date of the launch period, the DDP processing fee after launch, the terms above 1 kg and what counts as an “eligible” return. The cheapest tier price is not always the lowest total cost.
US duty rates can vary by product and country of origin. Check the details on the official CBP and Etsy pages. Verify with the official source; this is not legal or financial advice.

The news report does not cover terms for parcels over 1 kg. Ask ShipEntegra for this in writing when you request a quote.
According to Etsy, from 9 July 2026 a non-US seller needs DDP on shipments to US buyers for Purchase Protection. Check the current terms in the Etsy Seller Handbook.
The end date of the launch period and the later fee have not been announced. When you set your price, use the current amount from your quote.
