Where do customers look for a digital company: Google, maps, AI answers, WhatsApp?

Where do customers look for a digital company: Google, maps, AI answers, WhatsApp?
💡 Kısaca: A digital company’s customers look for it at four doors: in Google search, on the map, in an AI answer and on WhatsApp.

A digital company’s customers look for it at four doors: in Google search, on the map, in an AI answer and on WhatsApp. None of these doors looks at the company’s legal status. The Ministry of Industry and Technology had not published its digital company (dijital şirket) definition as of October 2026; when it is published, it will not open these doors either. The doors are opened by a website, 108 AI-SEO-ready articles, structured data and WhatsApp Business (Adapte Dijital, October 2026).

What this means for you: the question “where do customers look for me” is answered by measurement, not by guesswork. Each door has a delivery item. Our digital company page, where we collect every question on the topic, covers the legal side separately.

In short: Customers type a question into Google, look for what is near them on the map, tell an AI assistant their problem and write on WhatsApp. A separate delivery item opens each door; Search Console shows which one is working.
WHERE

Where do a digital company’s customers look, and what are the four doors?

BU BÖLÜMÜN ÖZETİ

  • First door: Google search
  • Second door: the map
  • Third door: the AI answer
  • Fourth door: WhatsApp

Customers often use several doors one after another. On 27 April 2026, Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek said “all procedures will be possible online”; no statement regulates where customers search. The company must appear under the same name at all four doors.

First door: Google search

Customers do not know the company’s name; they type their problem: price, region, time, comparison. If no page answers these questions, the company is absent at this door. A website and 108 articles in 6 keyword groups open it.

Customers often use several doors one after another.

Second door: the map

A customer looking for a service nearby looks at the map. To appear there, the structured data on the site and the Google Business Profile must state the same address and region. A company set up with a virtual office address follows a separate rule at this door, covered below.

Third door: the AI answer

The customer asks an assistant “who does this job”. The assistant names the companies it has read. If there is nothing to read about a newly founded company, it is not in the answer. AI-SEO-ready content, structured data and a clear answer in the first paragraph open this door.

Fourth door: WhatsApp

The customer chooses to write rather than call. The WhatsApp link on the site and a WhatsApp Business account opened in the company’s name open this door. The first reply to a message is the customer’s moment of decision. If the account stays on a personal number, the company’s door stays in an employee’s pocket.

WHAT

BU BÖLÜMÜN ÖZETİ

  • What 6 main pages, 12 subpages and 6 categories cover
  • 108 articles: for the customer who does not know your name
  • Matching domain name and trade name builds trust at this door

The site states the company’s name and service; the 108 articles meet the customer’s questions. The search engine counts every page as a separate answer.

What 6 main pages, 12 subpages and 6 categories cover

Each main page is a service or a main question; subpages carry the detail; categories are the home of the articles. This plan gives the search engine a map of the site. Our guide how to build a digital company website explains the logic.

The site states the company’s name and service; the 108 articles meet the customer’s questions.

108 articles: for the customer who does not know your name

Customers search for the solution, not for your company. The 6 keyword groups cover these families of questions; 18 articles in each group answer the variations separately. As the number of articles grows, so does the number of queries the search engine finds the site for. Which queries arrive is visible in Search Console.

Matching domain name and trade name builds trust at this door

The name shown in the search result, the domain name and the site title should be the same. A name that does not match the registered trade name makes the customer suspicious. The domain name and one year of hosting are delivered registered in the company’s name, so the match is permanent and survives a transfer. The whole pre-incorporation preparation is in our digital company preparation checklist.

WHAT

What should a company with a virtual office address do to appear on the map?

BU BÖLÜMÜN ÖZETİ

  • The notice address and the service region are not the same thing
  • The Google Business Profile is in the package, but not first in line
  • Organization or LocalBusiness

Two pieces of information work on the map: the address and the service region. A virtual office address exists for official notices; customers do not go there. The map listing should describe the region the company serves.

The notice address and the service region are not the same thing

The address is enough for official notices. On 18 June 2026, Vircon Legal counted the status of a virtual office as a notice address among the open legal questions. The customer, however, looks on the map for the place where they receive the service. The details are in where a virtual office company appears on the map; for the e-ledger side, see virtual office and automated accounting.

Two pieces of information work on the map: the address and the service region.

The Google Business Profile is in the package, but not first in line

A profile is strong when it carries the same information as the site and the structured data. A profile opened on its own finds no site to verify its name, address and phone. That is why delivery builds the site and the content first, then the profile. If the order is reversed, the map door opens halfway.

Organization or LocalBusiness

For a company that serves a specific region on site, the LocalBusiness schema defines the address and the service area. For a company that serves the whole country online, the Organization schema is enough. The wrong schema sends the wrong signal to the map. In the package, the schema is chosen by how the company works and built together with the FAQ schema.

HOW

How does AI SEO get a company into an AI answer?

BU BÖLÜMÜN ÖZETİ

  • The assistant says what it has read
  • Structured data and the FAQ schema
  • Answer in the first paragraph, then explanation

An AI assistant builds its answer from content it has read; if there are consistent pages that answer directly, it names the company. The company passport that Ertan Barut proposed on 28 September 2026 points the same way: verified information, the same at every door.

The assistant says what it has read

There is one reason a newly founded company is missing from an AI answer: there is nothing to read. A registry entry is not a source for the assistant. We explain why and what to do in why AI does not recommend a new company.

An AI assistant builds its answer from content it has read; if there are consistent pages that answer directly, it names the company.

Structured data and the FAQ schema

The Organization or LocalBusiness schema introduces the company to the machine; the FAQPage schema lets it read the frequently asked questions and their answers directly. The schema text must match the visible text word for word. In the package, structured data is built with these two headings, and each of the 108 articles carries its own frequently asked questions.

Answer in the first paragraph, then explanation

The assistant looks for the sentence it will quote at the top of the page. That is why the first paragraph of every page gives a clear answer to the question; the second paragraph explains what it means for the reader. The 108 AI-SEO-ready articles are written in this layout.

WHY

Why does WhatsApp count as a door, and what does WhatsApp Business provide?

BU BÖLÜMÜN ÖZETİ

  • The first message is the moment of decision
  • The account in the company’s name, the number owned by the company
  • The move from site to WhatsApp is measured

Because customers often take the last step by writing. The site is read, the map is checked, the assistant is asked; then a single message goes out. Whether that message lands in a company account or on a personal number makes the difference.

The first message is the moment of decision

When customers write, they ask about price, time and availability. If the account shows the company name, address, working hours and site link, trust grows. WhatsApp Business carries these details in the profile. This door is a service door, not an advertising one; the company that takes the message seriously wins the customer here.

Because customers often take the last step by writing.

The account in the company’s name, the number owned by the company

If the account is opened on the founder’s personal number, the door closes when a partner changes or an employee leaves. The number should belong to the company and the account should be tied to the corporate e-mail. The same ownership rule applies to the domain name, hosting and social media accounts; our guide on accounts in this set covers it separately.

The move from site to WhatsApp is measured

A click on the WhatsApp link on the site is recorded as an event in GA4. This shows which page brings messages. That is why it counts as a door: it is measurable and can be tied to a page. A message to a personal number has no known source; that door stays unmeasured.

HOW

How does Search Console answer the question “where”, and which door is working?

BU BÖLÜMÜN ÖZETİ

  • Queries report: what customers type
  • Pages and region: which article, which province
  • Decisions with numbers: asking for more

Search Console reports which queries and pages the company appears for. GA4 shows the visitor’s channel and what they did on the site. Together they are the numerical answer to “where”. For the concept as a whole, see what is a digital company in Türkiye.

Queries report: what customers type

The Performance report lists the queries the site appears for, with impressions and clicks. This is where the customer’s own words show up; they often differ from yours. This list is the source of new article topics. The account set up at delivery starts collecting it from day one.

Search Console reports which queries and pages the company appears for.

Pages and region: which article, which province

The Pages report shows which page gets impressions; the country and device breakdown shows where it is viewed from. The region report in GA4 goes down to city level. Region and demand are read from these two reports.

Decisions with numbers: asking for more

In the first months the numbers are small; what matters is the direction. Whichever door is working, investment goes there: more articles, advertising, e-commerce. Our digital consulting service exists to make that decision together. The whole delivery that opens the four doors is set up in one package in the My Digital Company (Dijital Şirketim Olsun) campaign for TL 36,000 + VAT; region and demand measurement is included.

Sık Sorulan Sorular

Why does a newly founded company not appear on the map?

Because the Google Business Profile has not been opened, or the site has no structured data confirming the same address. A company with a virtual office address needs the service area business option. The profile, the site and the schema must carry the same details.

Why does WhatsApp count as a separate door?

Because customers often take the last step by writing, and that message is measurable. A click on the site’s WhatsApp link is recorded in GA4; it shows which page made the customer write. The account should be opened in the company’s name.

How do I find out where my customers look for me?

From the Search Console queries and pages reports, and from the GA4 region and channel reports. Both are set up at delivery and keep records from day one. These reports replace guesswork; investment is directed to the door that works.
